bendle - jesus

One of my favorite new releases, a little tune called jesus is from a great friend here at pen & mallet. The main instigator behind dustdevil & crow, bendle has been doing his own thing musically since the late seventies (e.g., the door and the window and The 49 Americans and many, many other projects you can check out at his bandcamp page). This one is a collaboration with rob tarana and has been in heavy rotation since I downloaded it.

aboombong - noon

 Noon from the album amnemonic has shown up on a nice little ad for an event at the contemporary arts museum in Bordeaux. Nice marriage of images and sound to my mind. This is how creative commons licensing is supposed to work.

The next aboombong recording will be out January 1st, 2013. Title is adumbral: études dans le contrôle imprécis - seven shortish tracks that are a departure from the longer ambient tracks released in 2012.  Watch for it on bandcamp and other outlets.

Amanar's Tenere - remixs from Sahel Sounds

Sahel Sounds recently shared some sound files for remix from a 2008 recording session by Amanar; music recorded locally in their home of Kidal in Northern Mali.
